Kim Zolciak is Determined to Take as Many Chanel Bags as Potential All at

If you read my regular bi-weekly celeb handbag round-ups, you know I have been (gently) ribbing Kim Zolciak for her excessive Chanel game for some time. Real Housewives in general are not especially subtle with their designer bag choices, but Kim really ups the ante with her regular Chanel luggage parades through LAX. In our research, we found that Kim hasn’t always been this committed of a Chanel fanatic, even though she has long had a Yorkie named after the brand. Her dedication to carrying Chanel (and lately, only Chanel) bags is recent, but she’s making up for lost time with impressive volume and range.

Let’s review, shall we? If you want to follow in Kim’s footsteps, you can shop a wide variety of authentic, pre-owned Chanel bags via Vestiaire Collective.

Chanel Minaudiere

We’ll start with the more minimal entries in Kim’s exorbitant Chanel collection. She’s especially fond of Chanel’s latest batch of perspex clutches.

Chanel Box Minaudiere

Bags like the Chanel Bag D3200 Box Miniaudiere may be wee, but the price points for these little collector’s items start at around $10K and only go up.

Chanel Camera Minaudiere

This Chanel Camera Miniaudiere, for example, will set you back around $13,000. I imagine that tidy sum would buy a fair amount of actual film equipment.

Chanel Minaudiere

Kim is so rarely camera shy, but this is still a great shot of her hot pink Chanel Miniaudiere. This style is one of Karl Lagerfeld’s real thinkers.

Chanel Travel Bag and Trolley Set

Now we’re getting deep into Kim’s Chanel luggage collection. Here she is with a Chanel Bag and Trolley Set. You will frequently see Kim’s husband Kroy Biermann in the background.

Here’s a better close-up of Kim’s Chanel luggage game. Note that Kroy has turned to Louis Vuitton for his own travel needs.

Here’s another angle. Kim travels A LOT, and it seems like she is photo-ready with Chanel bags in LAX at least twice weekly.

Chanel Boy Bag

Finally, here’s one of Kim’s daughter’s travel set-up. Like mother, like daughter. You’ll notice Brielle is carrying her own multicolored Chanel Boy Bag, a bright pink MCM Backpack, and an oversized Louis Vuitton bag to boot. So much for Samsonite!

Seriously, that stuff is indestructible. Run your fingers – no, better yet, run your fingernails together another time you’re close to a Chanel tote made of this material, and you will see what I mean. It’s a finish almost as tough as Louis Vuitton monogram canvas, but you’re paying for actual leather rather than, canvas. With how much those monogram bags run these days, the price of a neutral leather Chanel tote with comparable durability seems downright affordable. But. . .They come in sizes ranging from XS to XL, but even the tiniest of the Chanel flap bags is way more costly than the average girl wishes to spend. You’re in no danger of visiting your luggage on every girl on the block (if you don’t live on a really, very wonderful cube, but if you do, there is likely no sense in attempting to remain one step ahead anyway), and even if you find a lot of people carrying non-Chanel bags which appear similar, there’s absolutely no comparison when you see and maintain a Chanel flap bag in person. The Classic Flap has been popular for literally decades and also the 2.55 Reissue helped reestablish the style in the mid-2000s, but it had been obvious that Chanel was going to need to produce a smart, modern-looking next generation flap bag to continue to dazzle clients who desire Chanel bags to be as zeitgeist-y since the brand’s runway shows. Together with the Boy Bag, Chanel pulled off just that; a design that feels deeply rooted in the home’s handbag background but still fresh and different enough to beguile customers who don’t want to take bags that their moms are interested in.
