Fashion and accessories are far more interesting (and intellectually diverse) topics than most people give them credit for, but sometimes, it’s just nice to have something pretty to look at. And that’s what we’re here to provide you with this morning: Chanel’s Spring 2018 ad campaign, which is serenely pastel and includes a handful of pretty bags to match.

In contrast to Chanel’s always grandiose fashion shows, these shots are stark and simple: a couple models against tonal backgrounds, wearing and carrying the collection, which we reviewed when it came down the runway. The show had strong mermaid vibes, but that’s somewhat muted in these images, which instead emphasize the soft colors of the collection.
