You know the moment when you are window-shopping, just looking around.
‘No I am not going to buy, I am just checking’.
And then you suddenly stop because you see something awesome or beautiful. Then you quickly search for the price tag and think: ‘with that price, I would rather buy…’.
But the image of the bag keeps coming back into your mind, and your mind is basically messing with you, giving you excuses to make the purchase.
That’s what I had with the Dolce & Gabbana Monica Shoulder Bag.
Or you can call it a tote bag.
Or a briefcase, whatever you want.
But the Monica Bag was the IT-thing on the runway for the fall winter 2014 Collection. And I didn’t notice much, until I spotted the Ocean Blue color, which is damn gorgeous.
A handbag that I casually wrote off as an “oldie but a goodie” only last week is, of course, hugely popular with celebs this week. The Givenchy Nightingale was getting a surprising quantity of grip as of late, along with numerous other favorites that have been in existence for five-plus years. Most of the celebs beneath spent their Labor Day weekend with their favourite people and their favourite luggage. Classic, unassuming styles have been, all that summer color and flash were (for the most part) manner, exit. I am not certain where Amanda Seyfriedx was recently/during the last 8-12 months, but paparazzi eventually caught up with her at LAX. Shop Bottega Veneta via Neiman Marcus.EJ Johnson was spotted carrying one of the many Birkins while catching dinner in Beverly Hills. EJ wears it even better. It is among my favorites times of the year: when American celebs and choose foreign models don their finest preppy daytime ensembles and gather together for a day of champagne-sipping and pony-watching. This weekend celebs celebrated the 10th Annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic at Jersey City. And while we are not entirely certain who won, who played with what the rules of polo are, we all know one thing: the bags certainly lived up to the pomp. Looks like Dolce & Gabbana remains in apology manner for derogatory remarks its artists created about IVF and gay couples with kids last year. “Stefano Gabbana’s Instagram now shows both $400 T-shirts and luggage that contain cartoon images of same-sex families.
Ocean Blue? It’s more like baby blue. The design is very clean and simple, which I love. It’s a working bag or a bag to brag. It features a turn-lock closure and so much more, like:
A removable shoulder strap with lanyard clasp closure that can be adjusted, accordion construction at side gussets, carry handles on the top for – when you want to be on the ‘tote-mode’.
The interior is designed with two compartments divided by zippered pouch pocket. It also comes with patch pockets, card slot. Made from strong and structured grained leather, measuring 10’ x 8’ x 5’ (L x H x W) via SSENSE.
